SASSFA's staff is available to support caregivers through the
National Family Caregiver Support Act
. Services that
can be provided include:

Respite Care (shown right)
Referrals to Support Groups
and Counseling

Respite Care
This service is offered to relieve individuals who are providing regular, unpaid care to a
frail elder age 60 and over. It entails a SASSFA employee coming to the home four hours per
week, to supervise the elder while the caregiver takes a break. This service is
available on a limited basis.
