SASSFA's staff is available to support caregivers through the National Family Caregiver Support Act .

SASSFA recognizes that being responsible for the care of an elderly relative or being a grandparent caring for a minor child (under the age of 18) can be stressful. To be eligible for caregiver support programs either the caregiver of the care recipient must reside in SASSFA's service area.

Support Eligibility - Eligible individuals must be:

over the age of 18
caring for a loved one age 60 or over 		or over the age of 60
providing care for a grandchild under the age of 19
and either the caregiver or the care recipient must reside in our service area.
