There are a variety of services and benefits that are
available to you when you join the Youth Program . . .
|
Recreation Program
We have year round activities including board games, computer games, and music
for our youth. We also
have an exercise room at our Pico Rivera facility. Youth are given the
opportunity to participate in educational field trips.
|
Employment and Summer Job Program
All of the youth that qualify and want to work can request assistance in securing a job.
Job and career preparation are important aspects of the program.

Training
We have several well equipped computer labs at each of our facilities for youth to use.
Training in different areas of computers is available on a daily basis. We
provide training in typing, basic and advanced computers, leadership, pre-employment,
and career development.

Career/GED/Occupational Training
All types of assistance is available to our youth to ensure that they stay in school,
reach their goals, go on to college, the military, further education, or vocational
training.
Tutoring
One-on-one, computer aided, and group classes are offered to all youth. Tutoring is
specially geared to improve math and reading skills. Tutoring assistance in homework
is provided on an as needed basis.

Mentoring Referral
Peer or adult mentoring is provided as needed.
Reading Incentive Program
This program is specially designed to teach youth to read for pleasure, and at the same
time earn money. We have a well stocked library at both facilities. Youth can sign up
for the program and earn $ for each book/report submitted.
